Being lost doesn’t make you stupid. And if we believe lost people – people who do not follow Christ – are stupid, then we have a serious problem. Our superior attitude will become a barrier to the Gospel. Remember, we are the lambs in the equation, not the wolves. (Luke 10)
Likewise, do we seek to build a following of disciples who will always rely on us? Or, do we seek to disciple people who quickly grow in their relationship with God and become peers in life and disciple-making? Hopefully, we disciple potential spiritual partners! If we don’t, then we are the lid on our disciples’ growth and maturity.
Maybe we are the ones holding back a movement.
