Making Disciples Who Learn From God…Or From You?

Posted in: 2011 LIVE SENT CONVERSATION, Videos

Disciple makers need help disciples learn how to learn from God.  Far too often, disciples develop a dependence upon Christian books, sermons, and curricula for their spiritual development.  Don’t get me wrong, all of these things are good in moderation.  But, you have to admit, learning directly from God is better than learning from anything man can produce – including this website!  We need to help disciple develop the skill sets necessary to learn from God directly rather than building dependence upon spiritual tools created by man.

Check out the Bible study, “Let God Do What He Does Best’ for a deeper look into this topic.

I fell in love with your site, at first sight, while searching for sources on the “INSTANT GOSPEL”: a concept I recently developed after many years of learning from Jesus Christ.

According to Christ’s teaching, there is only one measure of achievment for the objective of MAKING DISCIPLES WHO LEARN FROM GOD. It is personal introduction to the self-revealing Christ, the “I Am Who I Am”, i.e., source of life, in his death on the cross. This is the exclusive basis of sustainable faith and growth thereof (John 1: 47-51; 3: 1-21; 8: 21-32; 14: 15-21; 19: 30-37). AMEN.

@ Ephrem – Thanks for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoy the site and I hope it helps as you minister to others.

Help me understand what you mean by ‘self-revealing Christ.’ Are you referring to Christ revealing Himself through His Word, the Bible, or in some other way?
